Free WiFi was nice, so I could post pics of their "unique" furnishings. The garden and terrace were great for when I needed to escape the cold, dark apartment.
Wow, so original, a concrete box with brass fixtures! Maybe next time they can add some actual comfort and functionality, but who needs that in an architectural experience?

I had the most amazing stay at The Modernist, an incredible architectural experience in Faro. The apartment was beautifully designed with attention to detail and all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, with shops and restaurants just outside and everything within walking distance. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed. The garden patio and rooftop were lovely additions. The complimentary beer bottles were a nice touch. The only minor downsides were the noise from the streets at night and having to walk a couple of blocks from the road to reach the apartment. Despite these small issues, I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend The Modernist for a stay in Faro. I highly recommend this hotel for its unique design and excellent location.

The units at The Modernist come with a kitchenette and dining area, which was great for me as I love cooking and having meals in. It made me feel like I was right at home. The living room with a sofa bed was a major plus for me. It provided additional space for relaxation and made the room feel more comfortable and inviting. I really appreciated that all units have a private bathroom with a shower. It was convenient and ensured privacy during my stay. This apartment had a toaster, which was a small but wonderful addition. I enjoyed having delicious toast for breakfast every morning. The air conditioning in this apartment was a life-saver. It kept the room cool and comfortable, especially during hot summer days.
Personally, I didn't find much use for the microwave in this apartment. But hey, I know some people might still find it handy.

We loved the location of this apartment, right in the heart of the beautiful old town. the pedestrian street outside was lined with charming restaurants, providing plenty of options for dining out. And with the balcony overlooking the street, we could enjoy the lively atmosphere while sipping our morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. the apartment itself was tastefully designed, perfect for those in the creative field like us, with stunning Mid Century-inspired decor and a gorgeous color scheme.
The noise levels from other apartments in the building were a bit disruptive, especially when guests were coming back late at night.

We felt like true culinary masters as we whipped up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen. It was like starring in our own cooking show – without the pressure!
Noisy hallways at night.

The apartment was clean and well-appointed with a beautiful design and thoughtful touches. The location was convenient, within walking distance to the old town and various sights. The balcony was a nice spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. we had a great experience.
One drawback we experienced was the noise from other guests in the hallway. The central stairwell echoed a lot, making it quite loud in the apartment, especially when people were coming back after a late night.

The check-in process was a breeze and very thorough, making it easy to settle into my room. The design of the rooms was absolutely stunning, with attention to detail and high-quality furnishings. The use of local and Portuguese products in the decoration added a unique touch. The location of the hotel was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. I also thoroughly enjoyed the guided modernist architecture tour, which was a fascinating and authentic experience.
Although the overall experience was great, there were a few minor issues that could be improved upon. For instance, there were a few times when we needed more coffee pods and an extra toilet roll, which required us to ask the cleaning staff.
